I would really like it if at the meetings in June we could all refer to each other by the number we got for our ranking position, and for everyone to be able to order those who achieved a lower score than them, to have to perform menial tasks - making drinks etc.

Brilliant for everyone except the person who was number 200.

I hope they dont make us wait till mid/end of the week and hopefully tell us on Monday..curious to see how my feedback looks

Thanks for replying to my earlier post. Tou mentioned that we are exempt from some CTA exams, by any chance have u got any idea how much? Is it the majority of CTA or just a small part of it?

I assume that the learning programme for TSP is on the same level if not more than the ATT? If you have any information on this matter I would be more than grateful. It seems to be difficult to find any information regarding the qualification online!

Not unless theres been a recent change in policy as officially there was only one RDT set. However 90 minutes for London is generally considered reasonable, however it depends on your individual circumstances.

It is 90 mnutes inside the London pay area which includes all of greater London. I have had my 1-2-1 meeting woth my manager and my journey can be one of many permutations. Two of them are over one hour thirty which is why i know for sure wjat the RDT is for london.

The link explains that RDT has not changed from 60 minutes, but some offices have advised it is 90 minutes.

Interesting.

Makes no difference to me anyway as my "move" means my travel costs the same and takes the same amount of time, will remember this if anyone is having trouble with a move though!

The decisions for regional centres have been made now so no matter what the unions say nothing will change.

Whilst I appreciate some people will be left with a long commute/possibly having to move house, the unions should have been fighting much harder about this issue years ago.

Oh and aren't Band T (TSP trainees) covered by the Arc Union and not PCS?

Are you sure? I'm not sure I would want to inherit a massively expensive and disruptive decision without reviewing it and with Lin homer being replaced I'd hope that this would be the case.

Although I'm not a union member I wouldn't say their activities make no difference in protecting their members terms/conditions. For example CSCS etc.

However regarding office moves your correct, as the properties were transferred to Mapley in 2001. The reality is that moves were inevitable as the 20 year leases all come to an end. A lot of the buildings will be converted into housing as the developers stand to make significant profits.

I believe TSP trainees can join ARC (a subdivision of FDA) just like other Band T's. FDA recently added section called Keystone which HEO/HO and SEO/SO grades can join, which is a good thing. PCS tends to look out for members in AA/AO/EO grades which make up the majority of members, while ignoring the interests of HEO/SEO's.

With the Panama Papers and all the recent scramble to look like HMRC are being fully backed, I wouldn't be surprised to see unforseen changes as a byproduct in the coming years, locations and officea possibly being one of them.
