Portsmouth freshers

I'm an Irish student that will be starting at the university of Portsmouth in September and was just wondering what freshers is like over there and when it starts etc?

Hi Danielle,

Susan here from the Information Centre

In the weeks leading up to your arrival we give you all the information you need for a smooth start including an induction pack and online support.

Once you have arrived at the University as a new undergraduate student, we try to make sure you feel at home. Within the first two weeks you'll get to find your way round the city, the campus and meet others during Freshers' Week before continuing students return. You’ll also get a chance to get to know the people and services that can support you academically and personally through your time with us.

Freshers takes place on the Wed 21st Sept/Thurs 22nd during Induction week with loads of events going on and is organised and run by our Student Union - www.upsu.net.
Induction week runs from 19th Sept -23rd Sept. If you look on the Union website later this summer there will be a Freshers page with details of all events and how to book. Hope that helps!
