You might get 2 for using tan and solving your equation.

What was the equation of x^4 graph on question 7?

y=x44x32x2+12x+9y=x^4-4x^3-2x^2+12x+9
Hi Mr M, thank you for all these answers, it really helps a lot.

Which question is it that the answer is k=1/9 for? I can't find it in the answers you provided but I keep seeing people saying that they got that as an answer.
If I used my answer for a from part ii in part iii but did the question with the correct method, how many marks would I get?

On 6(iii) i got the formulas right and subbed the values in correct but in the next step i didnt times everything by 2 (as its 1/2N in the formula) but everything else i did right and ended up getting N>25.6 so got N=26
On 9)iii) I forgot to divide by a. I got 1/3 pi and 4/3 pi. How many marks will I lose/get

Thank you!!! :biggrin:

Also on the final part of the sequences question where we had to work out N;

I got up to N/2(10 + (N-1)1.5) - 1200 > 0
Got 1.5N^2 - 8.5N + 1200 = 0
How many marks will i get, if any?

It isn't a correct answer. There is a scale factor of 1/9 in 8ii.

Drop 1. It said you had to give the exact area. In fact, you'll drop all the marks if you just typed that integral into your calculator and didn't show any working.
