Think I managed the 6 UMS I need for an A* assuming I get 90 in C3 and C4 so I'm happy

The reason why we need to multiple by the class midpoint is because we don't know the exact values so we find the average. That's why it asks to "estimate" the mean. However we were given an exact value of 3.43 so we just use that. Doing what you say would just lower the accuracy ever more for no reason .

So it stays the same
did you find 1/x first then mutliplied that by the probability, adding each one?
