Thanks for the reassurance! I'm just super anxious - I keep checking my email for updates from track, the wait is the worst.
Do you mind me asking where else you applied? I'm assuming you got in to Imperial :h:

It's fine, I remember how much I was checking my email so I know how you're feeling!

I'm at Imperial now so if you have any questions feel free to ask me. I don't know too much about your first two years, but I can try to help. We have a common third year though so I can tell you more about that.

I also applied to Nottingham (twice, for Biology and Microbiology), Bath (for Biology) and Southampton (for Biology)

Hi!
Applying to Medicine
GCSEs: 4A*s 5As (Not amazing but imperial doesn't look at them so :h:)
Predicited: A*A*A (Bio, Chem and maths)
Extra-curricular: Too much
Original post by BULL14
Could you do that?

Yeah. I've applied to 4 medical schools and Medical Bioscience at ICL as a 5th option. You can't apply to 5 medical schools.

Wow physics, the topics youll study at uni will bereally interesting.
If i was clever enough i reckon i would have applied for it also.

Though I imagine that material science is just as challenging and difficult - especially at imperial!

Ive noticed that all the cool materials like meta materials and graphene were created by physicists.
The subject is so broad the areas you can specialise in is huge.
Intended subject: Chemistry

GCSE's: 3A* 5A 2B (should have been 4 A* but teacher forgot to send off for remark in Physics:angry:)

AS Level: Maths-A F.Maths-A (only did 2 because of the A-level reform to linear)

A Level (predictions): A*AA (also I do EPQ with A* prediction)

Extracurricular: Head boy of my school, work experience in finance, work experience in Chemistry department at Southampton University, County level swimmer, mentoring younger students

Do you guys think that I have a chance? I wish my predictions were a bit more impressive but my school isn't keen to predict A*'s like others are. Thanks in advance:smile:

I have applied to Medical Bioscience as my 5th Option as a medic. Don't know if that's a straight rejection!!
Also haven't got an confirmation email yet but they were slow last year when I applied for medicine too. Just gotta wait I guess.

I've got mine a few hours ago (applying to biomed as well) and submitted my application like on 12/10. It does take a while ...

Please think of us poor medics who won't hear back till after mid-November :frown: ...and congrats to those who got offers/interviews! I'm just bitter about BMAT revision

Also - any idea on what is considered a "top" BMAT score? (in terms of each section)

Poor Medic present. My half term is non-existent because of this BMAT. When I get back to school and someone asks me "How was your break" I'll be like "What is this break you speak of"
What's considered a "top" BMAT score? Ummm 9?
Ok I joke I joke, I think anything above a 6 is really good! (I think that with a good PS, reference, predicted grades, you can score an interview with scores of 5.5 and beyond) That being said, there are probs medics at Imperial with scores between 5.0 and 5.5. As you can see, nothing is definite
Is it true that all the Chemistry with Language MSci courses at ICL have 100% acceptance rate? Or is there a mistake on the Which?University website...
