Good Morning, Unfortunately due to the size of this campaign we are unable to provide individual timeline updates. Please note that it may be a number of weeks before you progress to the next stage. In all circumstances we will aim to notify you as soon as possible, but please regularly check your status on Civil Service Jobs for any updates. Thanks blahhh

It is a bit worrying that there's not a hint of anything happening or any desire to make people aware of their individual circumstances. Back to refreshing the civil service job portal every five minutes it is...
So I filled in the OH Assist questionnaire online on Saturday and was told I'd hear from someone shortly. I hadn't heard anything all week so called them today and they said I needed to book a phone appointment, not sure why they didn't call me this week to book one. Also they told me the first available phone appointment is 4 November!! They then told me to call back on Monday to see if I can get an earlier one. Not impressed with them at all.
Hi could u pm thier number please. Iv been waiting a long time for my appointment to go in
I was made a provisional HO offer off of the back of last years TSP (met requirements at AC but put on the reserve list for London). I received a provisional offer for CSR/1666/16 on 23/08 so almost 9 weeks ago but have heard absolutely nothing since! I contacted DBS and there's no application in my name and CSR still says provisional offer. Is anyone else in the same situation?? I'm starting to get a bit worried as I can see pre-employment checks being completed for others.
I had another DBS certificate come through in the post today. There's nothing on either one but I don't understand why the check has been done twice?

Exactly the same, dates are the same too, except mine is for Manchester. I've also contacted DBS and got the same answer as you. Hmrc haven't replied to two emails I've sent them over two weeks ago. I've been given a couple of numbers to try hmrc on directly but haven't had chance to ring them yet.
Going off some of the posts on here I feel like I might aswell look for another proper job.
Im still carrying on the bar job I did whilst at uni but thats not something I want to be in long term. Wish HMRC would give us answers so we can make these decisions.

Yeah they've ignored my emails too. I rang this number 03001231896 and was told that they don't have any updates to keep checking my emails and CSR portal. I also rang 03000523040 but there was no answer. If you have any other numbers please could you post them. This is getting ridiculous now! Looks like I'll be stuck in my current job for a very long time.
I've been emailing queries to [email protected] and they normally reply within a few hours.

Guys honestly just be patient , i was on the reserve list from the initial TSP grad programme but then was luckily given an officer grade provisonal offer on the 16th of Aug,

Late Sept i was called in to hand in my documents and the guys were realy apologetic about the actualwait eveyones having to endure. 3rd of October i was asked to provide and fill out details for my DBS and Health form and then was sent another email 2 weeks later asking me to send my DBS (which came through the post almosg 2 weeks ago now ) to another address to complete my pre employment checks. It was only yesterday that my pre employment checks were completed and now i am waiting to be contacted in regards to a start date.

Each little part took a good few weeks and presuming the actual volume of applicants it is understandable. It is a tough wait but just let the process be and just give yourself a rough idea of a December start, obviously the earlier the better but if we keep hoping they will reply with good news the next day your just going to get worked up.

Just be patient , it will come. Relax for abit and enjoy the time of work lol

i think hmrc didn't actually have any jobs when we got our provisional offers, i think they were just anticipating that vacancys would arise. In any other hmrc job they give you a start date at the beginning of the process. not really sure what to make of this, have been waiting for a start date since 12/10.

Read a few horror stories from a few years back, that the job offers actually got cancelled. Hoping this is not the case.

I wish I shared your optimism about a December start! I'm just eager to start as soon as possible. I'm at the very end stages now (received DBS form, dealing with OH Assist at the moment) but feel for the people who haven't even been requested to take their documents in yet!

I totally agree that you guys can only have patient with hmrc. I was in the same boat with you guys few weeks ago . Getting myself worked up and calling hmrc , sending email and so for . But nothing happen with all my effort . But finally a month ago . When I received an email that my pre - employment checks completed and the following day I got my start date . But all this was from the beginning of July . I know what you guys are going thru to be honest . But it will be all okay at the end .
Sent quite an assertive in the moment email to them on Friday. Bit anxious to get reply now.

When you say anxious are you worried your email was too strong?
