Should I go to Sixth Form or College after my GCSEs?

Hello everyone,
I am nearly at the end and I just start to think where should I go after year 11. I want to study architecture and I just want you to give me your opinion where is better?
Neither is going to be objectively better, so providing they all offer the subjects you want to study you need to think about what sort of environment you prefer.

Colleges are much less structured and will be a completely new environment. Sixth forms feel a bit more like 'school +', and going to the same sixth form as your secondary school can either be comforting (same friends around etc) or depressing depending on your character!
It depends on your area too. Where I live, the sixth forms are crap and the colleges worse, so that's obviously a factor. Some areas though have amazing colleges, so just visit a few open days and see what goes well for you.

For me a rule of thumb is sixth form for A levels and college if you're doing some specialism, but like I say that's because that's what the colleges are good at here. If you have an amazing college that offers A levels and that's what you're looking at, then go for it.

TLDR: It depends on where you live. Go and have a look at some open days
