Choosing between Durham and York for biomedical science. I'm having a hard time choosing which would be the better one. I'm an international student by the way.

Durham pros
More established biomedical science programme
Slightly better reputation and name
6th in overall university ranking in the Complete University Guide
5th for biological sciences in the same guide
Beautiful campus

Durham Cons
A little too boring? Considering its size? But yet it's next to Newcastle which has decent nightlife
Accommodation is not guaranteed for all 3 years

York Pros
Good as well 6th for biological sciences
Well established and reputable (should I bother too much about its 20th position in the complete university guide overall ranking?)
Was told that it's biology department is solid (someone said on one of the forums that Durham wasn't good as York in terms of biology)
Guaranteed accommodation for all 3 years
Taught by 4 different departments, which can give a more all rounded experience
25% fee reduction, subject to getting a competitive scholarship (£20500 per year down to £15000+)
City is bigger and has more to do; near to Leeds and Sheffield)

York cons
Biomedical sciences programme established only just recently
Campus isn't as nice looking as Durham
Reputation wise, was told that Durham is better?

What would you advice? Thank you!

may I ask you a huge favour ?

cheers
