Dude I swear to god, I had no idea which one was which so I just chose it randomly
I want to get an A in the paper so I chose A

u sounded so confident wen u told me :P
but i think thats actually correct

What do you think the boundary will be for full UMS? 70 or less than that?

There's 0% that it's 70, it would be like 65 or 64

I wasn't confident during the exam, I'm confident now, I thought about every question more thoroughly afterwards

 well.. i think the grade boundaries will be a bit higher this time.. jan 17 was moderate

What is a UMS ? And How can it be in 70's when I saw some grade boundaries with 47 raw and UMS 96? Whats the difference between both . I really dont understand them :frown:

It was moderate? IT WAS IN 40's

Well October was 64, and this paper seemed easier than that, so at least I hope it doesn't go above 68. 🙈🙈

The raw mark is out of 80 and ums is out of120. UMS is basically the mark out of120 that corresponds to the raw mark. Full UMS 120/120 can be like 67/80 for eg. The boundary for A is different than for full UMS.

Really? but how ? If ur UMS is full ur raw marks are not necessary to be full??? Why do they have UMS then ?

Exactly. Lol idk but I like it.

So our grades are given according to the UMS not the raw marks?

No it is according to the raw marks. The UMS just shows the corresponding marks out of 120. And FYI, full UMS is an A nonetheless. Not anything special.

Oh! This is really confusing :frown:
Anyway just hoping the grade boundaries to be lower cuz even the easiest paper I saw of 2014 had a grade boundary of 54 raw marks so this inshalllah will be in 40's

Any repetition of questions from past papers?

well, not exactly the same.. but the same stuff they ask as usual..
nature of light calculation.. stationary wave question.. diffraction.. polarized filters..
internal resistance

Yeah, I've observed that every time I practice past papers
They just ask the same thing again and again, but in different forms
