Applying for a HCA position, they need references but have none!!!!!!

hey guys, on a gap year applying for medicine this year. I am in the process of securing a job as a health care assistant but there is one thing in my way. They need references from people who i had activities/training/employment from. But I never did any paid work!!!
Could someone advise me what kind of people i should ask! i have one from my old school head teacher but i need another one!!!1
