accomodation options

Hi guys , I ll come Sheffield hallam in this January ( 15 th ) at City Campus I have just taken my offer and Â looking for accommodation options , I am interested in en suits whose common areas (like kitchen living room etc ) are shared with 2 people ( I guess it is called twidio styled ensuite that's wright ? ) or 3 or single room including kitchen and own bathroom ( I guesses they are called self contained rooms ) do you suggest me any hall in that concept ?,

Secondly I will be master student actually I prefer self-contained option but I am afraid of that if I select self-contained is there going to be a problem in terms of being social and making connection with people ? actually I like hall named Brittain street , it looks so modern but having no common areas for dorm inhabitants( according to my research ) maybe I can feel very isolated in that building as I will come to a city that I have never been. I need your suggestion dear friends

My options are Brittain , regency , The element ,truro court ( previously liberty court) ,truro works ( previously liberty works ) forge , devonshire , egerton , and liberty hall
I do not know maybe I could not find any places in halls and have to end up with private accomodation options. many thanks in advance

The ones out of what you have pick that are self contained, have an ensuite and a common areas are :

The Elements
Truro Court

If not, I would recommend looking at the private sector accommodation on our website and you can actually talk to accommodation services about this option directly, if you feel its better.

However, if you are wanting to live in Brittain Street, but worried about socialising, at Hallam we have lots of societies that you can join or sports and you can make friends there! Do you have any hobbies?

Also, once you've started your course, you'll find that they're lots of events in the evenings, or even go out with your course mates. But there is a ton of stuff that happens in Sheffield, so don't feel that you won't be able to socialise because that's a part of the university experience.

I'm a postgrad student and I don't live in any of the accommodation options offered by the university, I just found people on SpareRoom.com. But if you want your own space then maybe go for the self-contained flat as your course might get quite intense and living with people you don't know that well/aren't in the same stage of life might be quite difficult. If you decide to do this then don't worry about making friends, I think you’ll find if your forced into a situation where you have to make friends you will find it easier than you thought! But yeh joining societies, getting a part-time job (if you have time), and your course is a good way to start! Do what you think is best, if you feel like you need to be around people then choose that options! Just make sure you weigh out the pros and cons and do what you think will be best for you.
