Japanese or Mandarin with business management?

Hi. For university I wanted to take business management and a language; I’m stuck between Chinese and Japanese. I don’t mind which one as I’ve been learning a bit of both with Korean and I enjoy all however I just wanted to know which one would be more beneficial in a business environment or which would better to study at uni or your personal experiences in learning those languages for example which one you found easier or how could I prepare for uni when studying a language. Any response will be really appreciated. Thank you 😅

I would go with Mandarin for future business and employment opportunities.

I was looking recently and for this country these are the most in demand languages with German being at the top. The reason I say Mandarin is because its geared towards the future.

I thought it was interesting Germ was top, but then again some of them might be paid in Euros and they have a strong economy. mandarin imo offers opportunities from increased trade with China. Those links might give you a little food for thought but are to do with jibs and demand in the UK. Youa lso have the flip side of those countries needing English speakers. It is where I would study. Arguably Mandarin, but everyone in the Chinese business world (of relevance anyway) speaks English according to my family there...so it's mainly useful in terms of actually living there and doing stuff outside of work.

Japan is somewhat insular culturally and I got the impression the business sector even more so, so while the language would probably be necessary I'm not sure if you're going to be that successful pursuing business positions in Japan anyway...this could well be wrong though as I'm much less familiar with the country though, but this is the impression I got from a cursory review of the prospect online.
