Hi Roy. I appreciate you for replying to my question about the software used at BCU for
the Music Technology course. Thank you!

Sorry to bother you. I would be grateful if you could answer some of my questions:

Currently I am studying Music Technology in college. The tutors only want us to use Logic to
produce music. I’m wondering whether I would be able to use FL Studio at
Birmingham City University in the Music Technology course, as I prefer using
this software, find it much enjoyable and have the full version of FL Studio.

Also I do not find the Music Technology course in College enjoyable; as I am only allowed to
use Logic (I do not like this software), we do not learn anything new, the
lessons are similar, which makes the course seem dull and uninteresting. What
is the Music Technology course like in Birmingham City University?

Also one more question. I’ve looked on the BCU website for what qualifications I need to be
accepted for the course. It states that Computing/Engineering
is preferred. Would I be able to get onto the course with a music technology
BTEC Extended Diploma?

Many thanks!
