PwC school leavers/apprenticeship

Hi guys. Hope everyone's staying safe during lockdown.
Does anyone have more information on the PwC school leaver program and higher apprenticeships? The website seem kind of vague imo
What happens i.e whats the progression route to become qualified through the school leavers etc.?
Thanks

This would depend on the area in which you want to work in PwC, for example there are different ways to get qualified when working in tax/audit than technology etc. What career would you like to get into?

Not 100% sure tbh. I want to go into accounting not technology but don't really know what area yet

Alright, so look into Tax, Audit, Consulting or Deals. You can learn more about the different school and leaver careers here.
For Tax you would need to complete ACA examinations to qualify as a chartered accountant. You can work in Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax etc.
All of this information for Tax can be found here.

Will all the areas lead to the same qualification, to the ACA (apart from technology)? Also, how do you know which area you want to go into without having any experience in them? For example, in the KPMG 360 course, you do the AAT Lvl 3&4 and then specialise in an area but in PwC you pick an area before you start. Is that right and how do you just pick without acc doing them first?

You will study for a professional qualification for Audit, Consulting, Tax and Deals.
It's completely up to you. Look into each and see which one appeals to you most.
You need to choose one and then you can transfer after completing the relevant qualifications. Once you’ve gained your qualifications and experience in one of these teams listed above, you could transfer to one of the other teams, where you’ll gain more experience, insights and coaching, as well as time out to study for your exams.

Hi guys, was just wondering if anyone's completed their background check yet and what you did for the transcript documents if you are still waiting for your A-Levels? I was told it would have to be put on hold until I get them on August 13th?

Although not PwC, on the EY careers website there’s something called the pathfinder which could give you an idea on what service line would suit you best.

(And whilst you’re at it, have a look at the EY apprenticeships. Personal opinion is they’re very good!)

Hi, I have been offered an apprenticeship on the Pensions Audit team but just wondered if anyone knew how difficult it is to move from such a specialist area after qualifying?? I don’t know that this area is where I want to work long term but don’t want to turn down a fantastic offer from PwC.

How long did it take them to get back to you after your interview?

Hi Carol,

My advice will be to carry on applying in the meantime so that you keep your options as wide open as possible. Having said that, you could easily move between different audit teams at PwC, so don't think your options will be limited! PwC is a great organisation and there will be many development opportunities. Once you qualify in audit you could go into accounting, commercial finance, internal audit etc. I'm speaking from experience!

I've included a link to another school leaver scheme below which is where I started my journey!

P.S. I'm a chartered accountant and I talk about entry routes into Accountancy and Finance on my YouTube page. My channel is called Fehzan Mehdi. I'd recommend a video called Tips on passing the interview process where I talk about websites you can use to find placements / grad roles. I also give small tips on how to excel in the application process.

Is anyone doing the PwC apprenticeship that can answer a few questions please?
Do the apprentices physically go to a college, in non covid times? If you’re based in the south east is the college in London? Do the apprentices study with the grads? Do the apprentices do the same process of obtaining the ACA as the grads?
TIA
How
