Transferring universities as a second year

Applied to soton twice and only recieved one card

Basically, I applied to soton for med and chem but only got one acknowledgement card, I know the chem department got my application but haven't heard anything from the med department(no email), should i email or ring them to confirm if they got my application, I sented my off on the 9th of oct.
