The Biological Basis Of Contraception - Human Bio Essay.

I got this essay to do, and its supposed to be on what the title of the thread says. All I have right now is a tiny bit of the calculation of the fertile period i.e rhythm, mucus and temperature - but I dont know what is relevant or what else to put in? Theres like no sites on it and I'd use my textbook but were not allowed them home. Hope you can help!

-Condoms (prevent sperm reaching egg obviously lol)
-Oestrogen/Progesterone pills (inhibit the pituitary gland)
-Implants/injections (same as above, stop ovulation)
-Temperature (progesterone raises temperature by 0.2-0.5 degrees centigrade)
-Viscosity of cervical mucus - If it's thick she's in her infertile mode
-Rhythm - When/when not to have intercourse.

Is it's acidic, it means that her glorious vagina is trying to kill off any more sperm trying to straggle in. I learned this in S4 :sexface:

I think talking about contraceptive pills/implants/injections would be really good - they harness the bodies natural form of contraception (progesterone) to provide a 24/7 version.

You could also discuss breastfeeding, as it also works as a natural contraceptive.
