Reccomend me books for Maths and Economics first year-Edinburgh.

So Im on my gap year and have time to read up on stuff to give me a little grounding before September. I genuinely find these subjects interesting so please don't reccomend me not to start yet...

Also, can anyone post the names of the websites where students can sell their old books?

I got a letter from Edinburgh maths department recommending 'Foundation Mathematics' - Dexter Booth and 'Mathematics: A Very Short Introduction' - Timothy Gowers as well as stuff by Ian Stewart and Simon Singh.

Yep, Im on a gap year...and really cannot wait for some structure and to be part of something so I actually feel like Im going somewhere with my life again.... :rolleyes:
