Why are you face palming? Some Muslims are Semites, yes. They shouldn’t be disrespected because they are Semites, but they should be able to be disrespected because they are Muslims.

One is a choice and a choice isn’t accepted by everyone, therefore has the right to be criticised.

I'm not denouncing your right to do what you right, i'm criticising your targeting muslims and using anti-semitism to express your vitriolic views.
It's right old storm in a tea cup over some pictures. Death threats and what not over images? Makes me laugh. Haven't these people got more important things to be offended about?
mikeylfc1989
No. Antisemitism refers Judaism as well as Jews. Jews are pretty much their own ethnic group, not quite racism but it's similar.

Disclaimer: If you disagree with me, you will just end up looking stupid.

No. Anti-semitism refers to the semetic languages including both Arabic and Hebrew. Neither of which are ethnic groups.

Disclaimer: You already look stupid and I've already disagreed with you moron.
jumpingjesusholycow
'Semite' doesn't refer to an ethnic group you moron, it refers to the 'Semetic languages' which include both Hebrew and Arabic, spoken by both Jews and Muslims. ******* idiot.

Look at the context. Most definitions apply anti-Semitism to hatred of Semitic people. Now, whose the idiot. Do you really think it is referring to prejudice against a language?
Charzhino
According to who? You?

One is a choice, the other isn’t, go figure.
I think its rather stupid and arrogant.....wtf....draw muhammad day....eeerr..?

The definition of semitism and consequently anti-semitism refers to the semetic languages and the adherents/speakers of them. One particular group being Jewish people. Another particular group being muslims.

What the **** don't you understand about that?

Now, be quite. It is referring to hatred towards Semitic people. You dumb ****. How can I be prejudiced towards a language? Oh, you’re a latinphobe.

It's an irrelevant definition. If you were really referring to anti-semitism as a prejudice against people who speak a certain language, then you never had a point to start with.

You are talking complete and utter ****, right now. Religion is a flaming fairy tale, it is false. Islam only believes the abrahmic religion is the word of God and all other religions are false. I am going to criticised Mormonism because of the fact that it believe being a black is a sin. Erm, no. It is compulsory for a women to have a Mahran (relative escort) when travelling to different countries. Even if the women doesn’t want to, she stil has to.

PS, I used to be a Muslim. I get all my information from; local mosque, Quran, Hadith or tasfir.

No religion is not a fairy tale and you are misinformed. You should take your misunderstanding elsewhere. Islam never has and never will advocate that other religions are incorrect. Indeed God did state that tell the others 'you go your way, I shall go my way' - So muslims believe in the principle live and let live. We believe that those of the 'book' are true believers (Jews and Christians, and to your suprise we can actually marry them) and we should also be kind to atheists.

It is not mahran but rather mahram, it is safeguarding the woman's well-being, where is the problem? - If the woman was to get raped on travel, there happened to be her brother or her husband there, would that not help? - WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR POINT?

Islam elevates women to the highest level. Islam states that below the woman's foot lies heaven.

If you were a muslim and have now become a non-believer then good for you, it is your choice but do not try to criticise it with your lack of understanding.

I do and I think you are an idiot for doing that. It is offensive to do such things, but ignorant people like you won't really understand it.

Your mother is calling, tis nearly bed-time you poor child.

Yeah, pretty much this. You've basically extended the definition to some obscure broader context. All this means is you didn't have a point to start with so you're looking to win an argument through semantics.

Why doesn’t it apply to children? Male children? They are in danger of being raped? Women don’t always want protection. You guys are forcing protection on them. If they don’t want it, they should be free to do so. Erm, this is where your misinformed. Go to the ask a Muslim thread. Islam believes all religions apart from the Abrahamic ones are false. I do understand, it is you that doesn’t understand. Go to the ask a Muslim thread and post your question and see the reply, it will be similar to mine. A religion is a belief. A belief is a choice. Your choices are not accepted by everyone. Therefore, your choices are open to criticism. No matter how beneficial you believe it to be, it is sexist by definition. Just like positive discrimination, is still discrimination.

I'm concerned for the UK's future with the amount of intelligent young people on this thread denouncing this as 'disgusting', 'pathetic' or whatever else. In America, the land of the free, expression has been censored at the whim of violent extremists. People reject this and want to make a controversial statement in order to show their commitment to freedom.

But, no, let's whinge about how some people might be offended and therefore is a saddening indictment on modern society...

I'm all for freedom of expression and I rightfully think it's an important aspect of society. But doing something offensive that is designed solely to offend people in a most severe way, and in such a large and public manner, isn't acceptable in my opinion. I am free to say what I ever choose but I would never incite hatred at such proportions to a single group of people - may it be Jews, Muslims, Christians to Black or Asian people.

I'm concerned about UK's future where people will purposefully promote and direct hatred to sects of people just because they can. What people are doing is anti-Islamic to Muslims around the world but no one cares because "Muslims are evil" - an ideology instilled into Westerners because of a spate of unforgivable attacks. Not to create an argument about 9/11 and 7/7, I'll just finish off by saying that this is similar to anti-Semitic behaviour; but the only difference is the derision is directed at Muslims.

This may be a liberation of freedom, but in reality, it's unnecessary and is only distancing the bridges countries such as America and the UK are desperately trying to rebuild with the Islamic world. Great job. :yy:

I didn't say nobody would be offended. I laughed too

If it's not ridiculous then Muslims have kept their reasons more secret than Scientology.

just trying to provoke a reaction of the muslims, are we?
i can guarantee u, if thsi goes ahead, the division between muslimn and non-muslims will be widened and even more tension will be created, please avoid this.

Well in the spirit of freedom of speech that i am a staunch believer in I shall not draw Mohammed but i will accept that some people will and respect their choice as well as the choice of people to practice Islam.
