To study the psychological effects of hemispheric disconnection in "split-brain" patients and understand the function of the right and left hemispheres.

There's the Developmental Approach and the Behaviourist Perspective (which contains Bandura from the Developmental Approach)

They are different.

thank you!

Would this be ok..
Sperry was attempting to study the functions of separated and independent hemispheres in the brain, by doing this he was trying to suggest a role for the corpus callosum, as it was thought that the corpus callosum’s only function was to hold the 2 hemispheres together.

i've got a feeling that this paper is going to be hard... i've heard that the january 2010 paper was fairly easy - so most likely this paper will be hard :frown:

anyone know individual differences assumptions strengths/weaknesses?

and would similarities be that griffiths and rosenhan was quasi expt
differences be thigpen used case study method, one person ?
ahhhh :frown:
Seriously, how do people do well on this exam? How can someone remember so much information? Is it just me who finds this impossible?
Was the sample in Study 1 of Rosenhan: the 12 hospitals, or the 8 sane people who went into the hospital? Thanks in advance.
Reply 86
The first study was the 8 sane people.
Also what's the difference between procedure and method? (if any :s)
Reply 87
the sample was the 12 hospitals + staff because their behaviour was being studied,

method is if it was observation, lab expt? i think and procedure is how it was carried out, i think anyway

Individual Differences won't come up as it came up in January so I wouldn't worry about that.

I think we've established that Behaviourist approach is very likely to come up so does anyone have any model answers for it?

EDIT: God bless my Psych teacher, she's uploaded model answers for everything, I'm attaching a Section C answer for Behaviourist approach with this post

I went through the past papers for Jan 09, June 09 and Jan 10.

The section b's that haven't come up:

Maguire/Freud/Savage-Rumbaugh/Reicher/Thigpen/Sperry

So it'll be three of them...

And the only Section C that hasn't come up is Behaviourist approach, so it'll be that and one other.

I've attached Jan 10 and its mark scheme if anyone wants it

EDIT - Jan 10 is too big to attach so I uploaded it to a Zippyshare.
jan2010 corestudies.pdf

Based on this post^^, I've found some model answers which my teacher has uploaded, I've made them into a zip file and I've uploaded it so if anyone wants it, it's here

In it contains:

Section B:
- Sperry
- Savage-Rumbaugh
- Reicher & Haslam
- Freud

Section C:
-Behaviourist Approach

Hope it helps
