I'm in Y12 and we're allowed to go home. Most people leave if they have afternoon lesson(s) free, but otherwise just stay in school, although many just go down town during their free periods. I work during free periods (most of the time0 but I have last lesson free on a Tuesday, so usually go home then unless there is something I specifically need to stay in school for (such as use of the school's computer network for my ICT A-Level)

I'm in year 12 and I'm not allowed to go home, but I will be allowed next year.
