Hi Emma- I just came across your post. Hopefully your mock went well!

When it comes to the real thing a useful phrase you could use in many contexts would be "venir de perlas"- along the lines of "just what the doctor ordered/ just the ticket" ( the literal meaning is along the lines of "to come with pearls" ).

Examples might be " Unas vacaciones largas me vendrían de perlas" - A long holiday would be just the ticket, or "La visita al museo me vino de perlas"- The visit to the museum was just what I needed.
