Anyone currently at Newcastle for medicine?

Or anyone just there in general? Care to share some pros and cons of the different halls? If I firm Newcastle but end up with accommodation I dislike will I still be able to choose my insurance choice instead?

It's not a good idea to play around with this - if the only reason you don't want to go to your firm is because of accommodation, your insurance may not take you seriously as someone who wants to study the subject on offer.
Hello
To anyone who got an email from Newcastle Medical School today....

Going to the one on the 5th of April hopefully - already looking at train tickets :colondollar:
Are you going?
I just came on here to see if anyone else couldn't find it!
I'm not sure if I'll go to one of the open days as I think we're going to Newcastle the 1st to 4th April to see Grandparents - if only I'd got the e-mail last week before we'd booked the tickets...

Me too :P
Although I think I'm going to try for the 11th because then
I won't have to get any time off school (geek :colondollar:)
Plus my mum and dad are off that week and they fancied a
day out together in Newcastle so I might get a lift
How much are train tickets from you?
They're so expensive from Sheffield! x

I'm coming from Doncaster and they cost about £30 for me so I guess Sheffield is about the same. Considering some people have to pay £60+, I'm not complaining :L

Well it is cheaper if I get a train to Doncaster then swap and get a train from there to Newcastle  And last time I went it cost me £60 for a return! Where do you get your train tickets from? x

Looking on a map, that distance doesn't warrant an extra £30. And I just had a quick look on thetrainline

I went on the trainline too!
It might have just been the short notice and the peak time but that's how much it cost for my interview and the open day :/
