Hey there, thanks for posting a question in the Medicine forum.
The Medicine forum gets a high volume of questions being posted, and some of these are already answered by the resources and Megathreads that members of the community and volunteers have created. This is an automatic post which is designed to highlight these resources. Below is a list of threads and articles that could answer your question (you should be looking in the original post of the megathreads). If one of the below threads is a more relevant place to ask your question, please post a reply in that thread to ask your question. If your query is answered by one of the Megathreads or articles linked below, and you would like us to close this thread for you, please reply to this thread with just the words "thank you". Are there any unis that don't mind a medicine personal statement, I was thinking Newcastle or kcl?
i was also thinking of applying to kcl pharmacy as my fifth choice! Ive seen other comments on the forum saying that they do get a lot of people doing pharmacy as backup so hopefully they wont mind the medicine personal statement. If you're still not too sure then id say email the university. hope that helps
As the Pharmacy and Medicine and Surgery courses cover similar topics and themes, you do not need to supply a second personal statement if you are to apply for Pharmacy as one of your choices. As such, your application would be considered for our Pharmacy programme if you use a Medical personal statement.
However, you are welcome to provide an additional personal statement for Pharmacy if you would like to. You will receive a link to register for our Apply to Newcastle Portal once you have applied to us through UCAS and you will be able to provide an additional personal statement through the portal, if you would like to.
