I've only got log ins to the uni's site for my other choices but nothing from Kent :frown: I sent it off 2 weeks today.
I was looking on last years thread for kent and the offers seemed to come around early november to early december. I don't think I saw any for October ^^

ahh phew good
does anyone know about the nightlife? everyone says different things! your opinions as applicants?
does anyone know if accounting and finance is at the canterbury campus? i can't remember.

Thank sounds great! I'm sure your portfolio is going to be wonderful!
I don't think its a problem if you havn't got much paint in there - you probably won't use it much for Architecture anyway! Its good you have the whole design process down from DT too - sounds amazing! If you're stuck on adding another medium you could try collage? I absolultely love it, and it's really simple to do if you're not sure!
The web-design stuff sounds so interesting - I don't think too many people will have that in their portfolio - it will defo make you stand out! Good luck !

My job title would be a Curator, and I would be specialist on teh artwork in a gallery and I would manage and organise where the work goes and how the artwork is presented in the museum. It sounds really nice. I might also try Art Therapy or study the Preservation of Ancient Artwork and Architecture, so I could preserve old buildings or paintings. I'm not entirely sure - all I know is that I want to be surroinded by culture and heritage all the time!

I don't like to say exactly where I'm living on the internet, but at the moment I'm living in the Middle East, and that's all I'd like to say - please don't be offended!

Hmm, I think I'll give the collage a go never thought of that one  have to have a look for some newspapers or magazines... Thanks!

That sounds like an amazing career. It's like interior design but more complex.
I didn't think you could do so much with a fine art degree. It really sounds fun though.

That's fine

I've heard the nightlife isn't amazing but it isn't pathetic, one night club on campus and I think 2 in canterbury. But the two are shared by UKC and CCCU. There's tonnes of pubs though.
Yes, it's at Canterbury

Ah, see I've already sent it off, but thanks for the suggestion I guess. ^^
I've applied to Oxford, York, Nottingham, Lancaster and Kent. This one's my backup, but it looks like such a good course and place that I'll still be really happy with it. If I get an offer, that is!

Leicester, UEA, Loughborough, (Kent), Reading

funny story really, I withdrew my application to Reading and went to swap it in for Glasgow as I knew that you could change it up to 7 days. Turns out the day you send it actually counts as one of those days so I withdrew one of my places for nothing. Oh well, Reading was my 5th choice but it is slightly annoying. I rushed my application off as I wanted to get it sent off before half term and I wasn't 100% sure on the 5th choice

Ah cool, all of those are good. ^^ Quite a few of my friends from the year above have gone to Reading and they seem to be enjoying it.

Wait, so you actually only have four choices now..? Or did you manage to still apply to Reading?

yeah i've been to a reading open day, it seems nice etc

yeah my application to reading is "withdrawn" and it won't let me put another one in so now i only have 4 choices ahah as long as a few of the others give me offers then it'll be fine because at the end of the day you only go to 1 uni anyway and besides i'm just looking at it as a rejection

Oh, nice! ^^ A friend of mine is applying to Bath Spa for creative writing, which although a different university, I assume is close. xD
Have you been to a Lancaster open day? That's one of my choices that I haven't actually visited, but it does look good.
