Wow, anarchist.
Some religious something. I asked the same thing in the other thread (see link) I think it was something about self-sacrafice.
i dont know why my thread was closed. i think it was cos only catholics have lent so it was meant to be on the RC soc thread,.
but when i was Cof E at the Anglican church we still had Ash wednesday.
anyway. when Jesus knew he was going to die, he went alone into the wilderness for 40 days and nights to meditate. he observed a strict diet and alot of prayer, time to reflect and look at God and try to empathise somehowwith Him. then he was crucified, died and was buried. this is Good Friday time. on the third day, he rose again - this is Easter Sunday.
im goign to church to get the blessing of ashes at 9am then fasting on Wednesday.
for the rest of Lent, im only eating Oats, Beans and fruits and herbal tea/juices.
please come to the RC thread and we can talk more
