What can I actually go into with a Biomedical Engineering degree?

I've looked many sites but most say about teaching the course after or something, some say you can go into the medical industry, some say you can't.

I like the course such as prosthetic limbs, I just don't know where it can lead me.

I've looked on the NHS, Biomedical Engineering is there but falls under 'Medical Engineering' and the only job under that category is a Clinical Engineer.

Have you tried contacting companies? Maybe ask them if you can shadow someone in various different roles... and once you have some contacts it may even be easier to find employment later
