Architecture placements

This is the first time I have read about placements which the university is in a position to offer to students based on performance. Most students posted saying they looked for their own placements with help for interview practice, CV's, n lists of job vacancies.

I was wondering if you would be able to give any placement information for International students studying Architecture.

There are two good webpages about Architecture placements: http://www.bath.ac.uk/study/ug/prospectus/subject/architecture/placement-careers/ and http://www.bath.ac.uk/ace/undergraduate/placements/. I'm not sure if you have already seen these but they tell you about the structure of placements in the Architecture programme, the support available through the Professional Studies Advisor and gives you a list of the types of placements that previous students have done - both in the UK and overseas.

Was there anything specific that you wanted to know? :smile:

Been through the Bath University website with a fine tooth comb. :smile:

When I met up with Ms Zoe Whittle (before putting application) she did say 100% students find placements. Except 1 year a few years back when it was 98%. (if I remember correct) But obviously the web site does not wish to make any guarantees.

My worry is as an international student with no contacts in UK whether we would find it harder to get a good placement. And if like you said for the Biology placement "through personal contacts in the department - therefore only for Bath students" the university is able to help find a placement for a student who performs well. Just kind of looking for a re-assurance that we should be able to find a placement.

Hi HPAG,

As you've mentioned above our placement rates for Architecture are very high.

As an international student you will not find it any harder to gain a strong placement than a UK student, and of course the department will support you fully in finding the right placement for you!
