Politics & Social Policy or Politics & Int Relations career prospects

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering what people's opinions were on Social Policy & Politics in terms of career prospects. I've been pretty much set on Politics and International Relations for a while but recently found Social Policy and now i'm stuck between the two. I'd definitely enjoy both.

Regardless, I'd be applying to Russell Group unis and Bath.

Does anyone have any opinions on the matter?

I thin that politics probably has better job prospects, but it does of course depend slightly on what you want to do. In my experience politics tends to have higher grade requirements, and is considered a bit more academic - but that's just my experience.

Thank you so much for replying. I'm probably set on PolSoc now. I thought I would be but you've explained it really well.

There aren't many places that offer it as joint honours. Other than Bristol obviously, could you recommend any for me to look at. So far I can only find Edinburgh and Birmingham.
