It seems we have very similar tastes then

I used to like Disclosure but feel they've gotten worse after going mainstream, same with Avicii :frown:

Nicky Romero and Chase and Status are amazing, and Hardwell is pretty cool as well  Do you listen to Zedd or Krewella as they're pretty good as well  This is one of my favourite songs atm

As the title says, I like electronic music and you guys can ask me anything (no guarantee I'll give the "correct" answer though ) Try and quote me though otherwise I probably won't respond

Why are you even reading this, hurry up and ask

Have you heard of Tycho?

No. At the moment, robots do not have the capability nor the intelligence to create their own music.

'Robots' is the name synonymous to Daft Punk.
Original post by majmuh24
Yes, but I don't listen to that much ambient stuff except Burial and Aphex Twin's album

Not in that context, it didn't have a capital 'R', but if it was Daft Punk, I think that their stuff is amazing and some of the finest electronic music ever made

Nah mate, all about the DNB and Electro house

Nice, have a listen to this track by Tycho. It's pretty awesome. Shame you don't listen to that much ambient stuff.

Also Have you heard of Ryan Hemsworth and his recent Ryan Pack mixtape? (electro/trap)

Another awesome electronic artist would be Oliver, have you heard his EP?
Who are the better IDM artists, Autechre or Aphex Twin?

Very nice list, I like a lot of those artists as well  If you're into Baauer, you should check out RL Grime because his trap stuff is amazing

I would love to go to Tomorrowland, it sound amazing  Ultra is also really cool  Do you listen to a lot of DJ sets or mixes because these are amazing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MaApitQgdY - Zedd at Ultra
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkO4EH6BO1c - Nicky Romero at TomorrowWorld

I listen to dj sets and mixes its really hard to get tickets for tomorrowland so i'll probably go edc or creamfields baauets remix of you and me is good but i think flumes remix is better

I don't really listen to that much IDM, but Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares are always the best for me

What about you?

I think that post Confield Autechre are just the best musicians in electronica. Although Venetian Snares do the best drum and base in the genre, and Aphex twin was the best early influence of the genre of IDM.

Yeah, the Flume remix is great

Baauer's remix of settle down is also pretty cool, along with his collab with RL Grime "Infinite Daps" If you like trap, Flosstradamus are also pretty cool

x

should i get creamfields tickets or just go for a massive house rave round berlin?
Original post by majmuh24
I don't really listen to that much IDM though, so I wouldn't know  I'm more of a DNB/House fan, so it's a bit too random and strange for me, although some artists are just amazing

What other stuff do you listen to?

I'm just getting into elctronic music, I've always been a pop fan, but I really like Burial. Prodigy did a decent album. I admire Daft Punk's ambitious pop music.

I get what you mean by random with IDM. But I really like listening to it and figuring out the albums.

Yeah, Kaskade is pretty cool and Atmosphere is an amazing tune

If you like him, you should check out some of his collabs with Deadmau5 and "Lick It" by him and Skrillex  Also, for electro house, Cazzette is pretty cool and Nicky Romero is a beast  I'll link some vids down here, be sure to tell me what you think

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp-IZEFqrG0 - Cazzette - Beam me Up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQTedx7l8wg - Kaskade - Move for Me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPTp4okj-eM - Nicky Romero - Legacy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbVxvITmwIc - Rapture (Avicii Remix)

For dubstep, it depends what you mean, but if you're talking about bass heavy stuff I would probably go for Bloodlust by Killsonik but if you mean chilled out then Archangel by Burial. Here's a link, as before make sure you tell me what you think

Good stuff, cheers

IMO Creamfields as there's something for everyone there including some of my favourite artist (NICKY ROMERO!!, Sebastian Ingrosso, Sub Focus, Andy C and many others ), but if you are prepared to splash out and are old enough, I would head straight to Tomorrowland  (Belgium)

went last year and i've been creamfields too, missed out on time warp though. Berlin seems to be the place to be atm my cousin went mid last year and he said it was kickin, obvs hella expensive tho unless you live dirty.

That's awesome, how was Tomorrowland?

I wouldn't really know about that, but if the nationality of all the popular DJs and stuff is anything to go by, I would say either Sweden (Avicii, Swedish House Mafia) or Netherlands (Noisia, Black Sun Empire, Nicky Romero)

Also, what would you say was your favourite live act?

It was wicked, the Belgians really know how to live it up man, the atmosphere was amazing especially with Hardwell and everyone getting emotional at Chuckie.

My favourite has to be Guti tbh, Matador taking a close second place. I really enjoyed MK but I think that was more because of the vibe and the people I was with, still a great dj though.

Hi, I read that you've been to both Creamfields and Tomorrowland, and was hoping you'd answer a few questions? I personally think Creamfields would be the best way to go for my friends and I, because it's a lot cheaper overall and much easier to get to, but would you say the difference in cost etc is worth it for Tomorrowland? Thanks

i got creamfields tickets as a present, but i would say it is great value for money and deffo worth going to at least once. Tommorowland though is on another level, I saved up quite a bit for that and worked my ass off but it was so soso soso worth it, the atmosphere is nothing youll ever experience again. It really depends what you and your friends are up for tbh, you need to organize it strictly if your going tommorowland but not so much creamfields and as you say it's a lot cheaper and more accessible.

If this is your first time at a dance/house/electro festival, then i would stick with creamfields, you'll still have an amazing time regardless because mainly it's about who you're going with etc. But i recommend you hit Tommorowland in the future.

Thank you very much, that was very helpful information, I'll let my friends know your opinion and we'll hopefully decide before it's too late for either!
