C3 quick question

If the question says show that f(x) = x^2-x-4 can be written as x=(sqrt)x+4

Would you get the marks for showing it the other way round?

x=(sqrt)x+4

x^2=x+4

x^2-x-4 would this be correct?
Possibly. I'd do it the way the question asks though just to be certain. Better to be safe.

If I remember in those C3 questions, you need to show it from the original form. If it looks hard you can always write the end result at the bottom of the page and work up to make it look like you worked down. ^.^
