Shall I take a gap year for these reasons...?

Has anybody on an Access course taken a gap year after it?

I'm think people will look down on me for taking a gap year, I'm just about to send it off but I don't want to. I feel unready to make a commitment to a degree without proper exploration and I don't want to get into a bad uni. Which I will (if any at all) because of my GCSEs and the fact I have no predicted grades to go off. Help.

I think these are very good reasons to take a gap year and whether or not you will be looked down upon depends on what you get involved in during that year. If you can do some volunteering or get some work experience, or just get involved in something in which you gain skills, you'll be able to impress those universities you're applying to.
