You mean r=cos3θr=\cos 3 \theta, I guess.

To find the angles in question, you know that when the curve reaches back to the origin, then

r=0cos3θ=0r=0 \Rightarrow \cos 3 \theta = 0

So solve that equation for +ve and -ve theta.

Right, as per atsrusers update you want r = cos(3theta) and presumably you're trying to find the limits for the right-hand loop, which is bounded by the points where r = 0 so you're solving cos(3theta) = 0. So clearly theta = -pi/6 or pi/6.
