which subjects to chooose

i am starting yr12 in September, i am unsure of the subjects i am going to pick. i really want to become a civil engineer. the options i am thinking is maths, physics with either FM or chemistry. i have been suggested of doing Btec engineering and maths. i would like your experiences for help.

If you want to go into civil engineering probably the most ideal route would be maths, FM and physics... FM is really useful for engineering! Btec engineering is probably quite good but if you're academic and able to do A levels well, then definitely do A levels!

I'd argue that civil engineering is slightly different and subjects like chemistry and geography would be just as useful as further maths, maths and phyics are essential.
