The Student Room Group
Nottingham, first year, sem 1:

Contract, tort and constitutional: 2 hours of lectures per week each, 1 tutorial every other week each.
Understanding law: some seminars and lectures, not many though, don't remember.

Sem 2:

Contract, tort and constitutional: same as above but with 3 lectures per week.

Year 2, per subject:

Land, crim, EU: 2 per week, 1 tutorial every other week
Optional: either the same as above, or a weekly 2 hr seminar.

Lectures are usually front loaded though, so you find yourself with extra lectures for every subject in the first few weeks.

Is that 3 2 hour lectures for each subject? So 18 hours in total?
No, all classes are one hour except for those expressly stated to be otherwise.

University: Queen Marys
Year:1
Seminars (hrs):4 (one for each of the below modules h/e criminal sometimes every other week).
Lectures (hrs):8 (two each for contract, property, criminal and public).
I'm a second year at Sheffield.

Every semester, you take three modules. For each module, you have three hours of lectures (33 hours per module per semester in total) and usually a one hour seminar (you have 6 seminars in an 11 week term).
Oh perhaps I should qualify the number of tutorials at Notts... you tend to have 4 per semester, per subject. Doesn't sound like a lot really, but it's enough as they're in a lot of depth and the groups are really small. Seminars tend to be far bigger groups.
