How dors gm work and what is it?
I dont understand this from last year and this year is my mock!
I just need it explained in simple words as this is the most complicating topic out of biology thanks x

Enzymes are used to cut out useful genes from one organism and place in a gap in another organism. This is done at an early stage of development

Key words are: enzymes, cut and early stage

Enzymes are proteins which act as biological catalysts. For unit 1 you don't need to know what they are, just the name.
A catalyst is something which speeds up chemical reactions.

Excellent notes but make sure you get that it is done at an early stage of development/growth as it's usually a point on the mark scheme.
