Enzymes are used to cut out useful genes from one organism and place in a gap in another organism. This is done at an early stage of development
Enzymes are proteins which act as biological catalysts. For unit 1 you don't need to know what they are, just the name. A catalyst is something which speeds up chemical reactions.
