Yeah the thing is I enjoy maths a lot and don't mind doing it at all however, I feel like only the best at maths can do it and I don't think I am the best so that's what's holding me back I guess
You don't have to be the best in the world - you just have to be willing to work hard, and it helps massively if you enjoy it.
So maybe have a look at some introduction to analysis/algebra stuff, maybe not at this stage but after Year 12 or something, and try out a summer school and see if its for you.
