The CAA can inform you, but for most things you need to speak to an aviation medicine doctor.

A note doesn't cut it. Each case is different, but something as serious as ADD; mild case or otherwise; precludes you from flying. Same with asthma, for example. Doesn't matter if it was a tiny, mild case 10 years ago, it still means that you're unable to be a pilot.

i'm not taking any of it, dont listen to him flyer, he's just speaking gobble dee gook

Just had a look at a website about ADD

'often makes careless mistakes in schoolwork, work, or other activities' - I'd rather not have a pilot who makes careless mistakes

'often becomes easily distracted by irrelevant sights, sounds and extraneous stimuli' - Flew over London at night whilst descending into Heathrow. It was really pretty. I'd prefer a pilot who concentrated on the bit of tarmac he was supposed to place the aircraft on, rather than the sights of London.

'often does not seem to listen when spoken to directly' - So if air traffic control or TCAS tells you driectly to do something to avoid a collision, what do you think the passengers and crew of both aircraft would prefer you to do? listen to and follow the order would be my choice.

'often avoids tasks that require sustained mental effort' - flying an aircraft does require a sustained mental effort. You say its all computers that fly it. Programming it in the first place requires a sustained mental effort. landing any plane requires a sustained mental effort, even with the auto pilot landing it.

'often is forgetful in daily activities' - Imagine forgetting to lower the undercarrige. It actually will warn you, but other symptoms suggest you would ignore the warning.

Do you seriously believe that someone with ADD should be let loose with an aircraft and its 500 passengers? even if you only suffered it as a kid and are no longer troubled by it, its only got to come back once for you to be responsible for the death of 500 people.

If you actually take a look at this topic, you hopefully will see that everyone believes that you are the idiot.

he/you has/have said many things which subsequently have changed the longer and longer this topic gets.

If you want to fly in an aircraft where the pilot has ADD, be my guest. By the way. looking at your replies, i get a feeling for some reason, you will feature on crime watch one day.

I'm not saying he can't be a pilot. He probably could become one. However he won't become a pilot of a commerical aircraft.

Well you may think that. However i had a gliding instructor medical at an RAF base in Wiltshire, and the doctor who examined me until recently carried out class 1 medicals. (He is a civilian doctor working for the RAF or something or other). Whilst having the medical i thought about this topic so i asked him about flying and ADD. His reply was that he would never have passed someone for a class 1 medical who suffered from or had a history of ADD.

Flyer should just pay a lot of money to be told the same. That way this arguement will stop.

Who is this person you have heard different from?

Of course you are right. I'll go and tell the doctor who specialises in aviation medicals that infact he is wrong cos some person reckons he has heard different.

Why should he not listen? He will need a class 1 medical to do what he wants so he is going to have to pay a lot of money to get one.

If there are always exemptions to flying medicals, why did my friend fail his then? His eye sight very slightly not 20/20 and so he was told he would never be an RAF pilot. He actually did very well in his aptitude tests and was told he did very well in his interview. it was after the interview, he found out he had failed the medical.

So if the doctor said he would never ever pass someone for a class 1 medical with ADD, how can there be an exception?

Right of course. My friend failed because of his eyesight so he must suck ass. How old are you?

What do you mean he would own us all? Please explain.

Flyer is going to fail the medical. Does that mean he sucks?

I doubt very much you would even get to OASC.

Like I said, you're nothing but a piece of s**t. You need to read back over what you've posted man;it's hilarious. You've gotten to a point where you can't even remember which schizo personality you're supposed to be. You're starting to forget which character said what, and are getting them confused with each other. LOL!! To be a good liar you have to have a good memory and some intelligence;you've got neither!Everyone's laughing at you man, but your too dumb to see it.

Your comeback was so pathetically predictable I could have written it for you. ''I own you; My parents earn more than yours; I can beat you at chess and quizzes'' What a sad mf***ing loser. By the number of posts you and your imaginary friends make, I bet you never move from your computer!!

You brag about your dream house;anyone can see from the toy plane pictures you posted it's a dump!!! So what if your parents inherited some money;that doesn't make YOU either clever, or have a good career. You boast about your intelligence;what a joke. The only thing you can do is play chess..and who gives a f**k about that!!

You pull people up for spelling mistakes when you make plenty yourself (and these are not just typos;the word are totally mispelled). Also, your use of English and grammar is appalling!! Everyone knows you got shit grades (not those you're pretending you got;which are pretty average anyway) and weren't even eligible to apply to be a dentist...despite you trying to pretend otherwise. You think if YOU say how great you are it'll make it true?? LOL.Geek!

And I bet your mom is really proud that she has a racist scumbag for a son - or is that who taught you, because it had to come from somewhere? Did you know that words or behaviour meant to incite racial hatred is an offence? I wonder what you're dad'll make of this thread when it's posted to him ?? (just as soon as someone pm's me your surname  ) Even if they don't, it wont be too difficult to track you down at University.

When I said I don't make idle promises, I was deadly serious. See you soon GEEK  !!!
