I think bright red is more of an evening look although some people could pull it off as an everyday look. Personally I prefer to wear more subtle shades of lipstick during the day.

For me, it depends on the eye look you're wearing. If your eye makeup is too heavy and full of colors or smokey then go for nude ones; if your eye makeup is nude then go for red lips.

I'm a huge lover of lipstick and it's often the only bit of makeup I wear, even if I'm not wearing any concealer or anything! Red lipstick is so cool, if you want to wear it, you should. Make your own fashion if the current one doesn't work for you
