Yep, it is better than nothing at all - and is not bad at all for a 1 year old battery (its almost a year old now) that has sometimes been left to drain for quite a bit. And considering I still have at least 5 hours of battery life (on regular use), I think that the battery in the HP is doing very well and will continue to provide good servicable life for another 2-3 years
