Btec grade equivalents

Can someone please tell me what D* and D in BTEC equivalent to? Iv'e soon so many posts stating different things like D*= A* but some say its not, its so confusing :s

I think it's something among these lines:
•D*=A*
•D=A
•M=C
•P=E
I might be wrong though, but I think that's how most unis see it :3
