what is a double grade distinction merit
i got a certificate for btec level 2 extended certificate as double grade distinction merit what does that count as for ucas ? a distinction or merit? and is my grade good?

The grade is DM. It is equivalent to 2 GCSEs at grade A and B. Just search on UCAS for BTEC First Award and put grades as DM. Remember for University you need the Level 3 qualifications and any necessary GCSEs. For example if a course asks for 5 GCSEs, the BTEC L2 doesn't always cover that,but you do need to list all qualifications achieved.
