HELP:Comp Sci/technology placements with only joint Comp Sci degree??

Pursuing a joint degree with History (first year) OR majoring in Computer Science with History/English minor (if I decide to shift focus towards Comp Sci). This degree would include a year of study abroad. Computer Science wouldn't be in my degree title - it would come after in brackets.

After completing undergraduate studies, if I don't pursue History (going into academia - this isn't necessarily my first choice, it's just an option I'm considering), I would love to work a highly technical/specialist job in a software/technology company, rather than one only semi-related to Comp Sci/IT, and would of course be seeking summer internships/placements during my time at uni.

My question is, because my joint subject isn't anything remotely related to Comp Sci e.g. Maths, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, would I be disadvantaged at all applying to the more competitive/highly sought after placements in the field i.e. placements which give you the opportunity to programme/learn from experts, etc, because employers would prefer straight Comp Sci/related joint combinations?

Should I do straight Computer Science, use any opportunity I have to take modules outside the department to pursue History during undergrad, and then apply to do a taught Masters in History after finishing my Comp Sci degree?
