I think what you need to do here is substitute a variable (e.g. YY) for 3x3^x.

You should then be able to do some algebra to get that into a quadratic in terms of
YY... (or W, Q, Z, K, whatever you feel like)

Remember that X^(Y+1) = (X)X^Y and that X^2Y = (X^Y)^2.
