Are AS and A level grades for Applied Business Combined?

Just got an offer from Southampton to do Business management which I'm very happy with but they want 3 A's and last year in AS I only got a C for Applied Business. Will the C be combined with the grade I get this year for A level? The exam board is Edexcel, would really appreciate some clarification :smile:
