Please help me with my Extended Project

So for my extended project I am thinking of doing the metaphorical, symbolistic and overall deeper meaning into the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I have a number of sources that I could using, including videos, book and work done on 'Buffy Studies' (a university course in America on this subject) but i am unsure whether this is a good idea. As I love the TV show it would mean I'm doing a subject I'm interested in and one I already know a fair amount about, but does it lack professionalism?
I really want to do well in this but I don't know whether it is a good idea.
Any notes or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, Thanks - Becky :smile:

No, it's just useful to have sources so that I have something to work off. Plus it's something I have an interest in so I makes sense to do it - not because I'm lazy.
