GCSE Maths & English equivalent

I have OCR Level 2 Key skill in Application of number and Communication. Do most teacher training providers accept these as GCSE equivalents? I am struggling to find out if they are recognised and if not how to resit.

Usually, GCSE Maths and English are accepted - only.

The university can ask you to complete an equivalency test if you do not have one these, but I do not think your certification is acceptable.
