Are A-level exams hard for an international student?

Hello. This fall I became interested in applying to a UK university. For that, A-level exams in chemistry and biology are required. Are those hard? For an international student especially..

It depends on your level of English. A lot of scientific terms and concepts are explored in chemistry and biology. Unless you can take it in another language, although I am not too sure about the details.

Are there no equivalent qualifications you could take or hold already from your country?
