Teaching as a career?

Ever since I was little (and stopped wanting to be a fairy princess!) I've wanted to be a teacher - however the education system in the UK is a bit screwed up at the moment, so what do you think of it?*

It's what you've always wanted to do, so don't let the system stop you. Seems like it'd be a rewarding career path too. Go for it.

If it's early primary you're interested in, there are Montessori schools which follow different education methods from the traditional state school. You could also look at private schools, and/or freelance tutoring.

Another thought: if the UK school system is :screwed up', surely the best people to improve it are dedicated teachers? Go for it!

I get what you mean. You could always look into other forms of childcare or tutoring I guess.
