How long after firming can we apply for accommodation? I firmed three days ago but I haven't heard anything about accommodation yet. I've tried logging into the accommodation portal with my UCAS ID but it says it doesn't recognise my details.

Will they contact me when I am eligible to apply?

Hi there,

Anyone have accommodation recommendations for an international postgrad student?

I've been looking into St. Marks, but I'd like to see what other options are out there. I'm in my mid 20s and haven't lived in "residence housing" since freshman year of undergrad (in the states) although this seems more like an ensuite with with shared living space.

Is there a website or Facebook group to help find flatmates?

Hey I firmed mine on January 31st and heard nothing at all not a single email.
I emailed them to ask why and they said they were very busy and I should have had an email about it even though I told them I hadn't.

Hopefully they're just busy and will sort it soon!
Have you managed to sort it yet?

Hey, yea I did. I didn't get contacted by them, but what I did was go to the student accommodation portal (https://leeds.starrezhousing.com/StarRezPortal/Default.aspx?), typed in my UCAS ID at the top, then clicked 'forgot password'. They then sent a password reset link to my email and after resetting it I could then log on and access everything.

I've put Leeds (digital media) as my insurance but do I still get to choose accommodation even if it's not firmed? Also will I be guaranteed accommodation at leeds in case I don't get my firm? Thanks :smile:
