Hi

I t hink it depends on where you study and what you actually study, I work along side student nurses from the Reading campus and they can't speak highly enough, where as I know some other students from London Campus and its a mixed review.

I think the atmosphere is what any student would want in a uni.

I left my family and friends to come to uni with only a virtual tour in my head and I am pleased with the choice I made, student voted the SU number 1 in the UK last year and I endorse that, the SU gives so many opportunities to progress with friendships, work experience, socialising, being in teams and good food on site (if you love food, which most persons do) also i have had the opportunity to travel for my class and SU across the UK and europe (scotland/italy/croatia/amsterdam/poland).

yes, I would say go for it and come to UWL.

you can always drop me a DM if you have more questions

Hi FutureChildNurse,

I am a second-year law student based in London. I'm also a student ambassador, so if you've been to an open day in the past two years you may have met me. If you haven't you can always pop around for the next one, grab some freebies and meet in person potential classmates of yours for child nursing.

Which campus will you be based reading or London? Are you planning on staying in student accommodation?
Hi

You can find ratings and reviews for your chosen course via the UniStats website https://unistats.ac.uk/Institutions/Details/10006566

You can also find more campus information on our website https://www.uwl.ac.uk/students/student-life

I did my Undergraduate in Business with Marketing and enjoyed it so much I now work for the university, if you have any further question please feel free to contact me on [email protected]

Best of luck

Lewis

Hi,

I will be based at reading and no,I physically couldn’t afford the 220 pounds per week for student accommodation,so I have gone private and have my room already secured.

That’s exactly what I’ve been doing. Definitely will get involved as much as I can and have some kind of student experience.

LOL - in a nutshell

I don;t want to be arrogant but thats what my experience has been and I believe I am entitled to share that experience considering I paid hefty fees to study there.

I have studied here for my bachelors and where shell I start. You know in olympics or football match, there is always that one player who tries to play at his best but then he gets rambled/manhandled by better players (e.g. aka what messi did to boatang), it the same perception I have about UWL.

They tried to make the building good by investing great deal of money and try to make good environment for students to study but only on thing was missing ...hmmm i don't know , TEACHING, during my 1st and 2nd year, I literally had a teacher who was teaching us who did not even had masters' degree and was studying masters+phd while teaching us and some teachers were so not upto the standard to what you would expect (though, two lecturers i had, who were very good),

now if I compare that to my current university, Birbeck, University of London, is comparing bike-cycle to Mercedes car....the teachers I had studied at one of the best universities in the WORLD, my finance lecturer studied his bachelors, masters and PhD from Cambridge, my accounting lecturer studied at LSE, economics & maths lecture studied from Ivey league university from united states .......see the comparison and it reflets in studies as well

what I learnt in one year at birbeck is like more than 400x than what i learnt in entire 4 years (which included a work placement)
